The issue includes seven research articles discussing various topics related to Iran\u2019s ideology, media discourse and foreign policies toward Morocco, Algeria, Indonesia &nbsp;South Korea, and Israel.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The first article authored by Dr. Mohammed al-Sayyad, a researcher in ideological studies at Rasanah, reviews major differences within contemporary Shiite political thought on the question of authority and statehood in light of the longstanding Shiite concept regarding the &nbsp;Infallible Imam; a Shiite belief that is based on waiting for the reappearance of Imam Mahdi.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The second article written by Prof. Ahmed Salem discusses religious reform in Iran in light of the absolute doctrine of &nbsp;<em>Wilayat al-Faqih<\/em> (the absolute authority of the jurist leader). The third article penned by Tass\u2019adit Kalakish, a Ph.D. candidate&nbsp; in political science and researcher at Mouloud Mammeri University, Tizi Ouzou, Algeria, examines the impact of Israel\u2019s Octopus Doctrine on the image of Iran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The fourth article &nbsp;by Yassine Bouchaouar, a researcher in the sociology of religious transformations and political communication at Mohammed V University,&nbsp; analyzes in detail Iranian media discourse and the &nbsp;impact &nbsp;of Iranian propaganda across the Arab world, illustrating the prevalence of Iran\u2019s media discourse, whether political or religious, within Arab communities through various media outlets. The fifth article entitled \u201cIran\u2019s Policy Toward Maghreb Disputes: Dimensions and Limits of Its Influence\u201d by&nbsp; Dr. Abdullrazaq Gharaf, a lecturer and researcher at the University of Oum El Bouaghi, discusses the nature of Iran\u2019s policies regarding disputes within the Maghreb, in particular the Algeria-Morocco disagreement over Western Sahara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sixth article entitled \u201cIran\u2019s \u2018Look to the East\u2019 Policy: Case Study of Indonesia\u201d by&nbsp; Rizwan Rafi Togoo, a researcher in international relations, reveals the impact of Iran\u2019s policy toward the East in mitigating Iran\u2019s international isolation by establishing ties with Asian countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The last study by Dr. Mohamed Shaker Mohamed Hussein, a political science lecturer at the &nbsp;Faculty of Politics and Economics, Suez University,&nbsp; discusses the impact of internal and external factors on Iran-South Korea relations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The International Institute for Iranian Studies (Rasanah) has published the 16th issue of the Journal for Iranian Studies (JIS).
