The author further accused the British Embassy in Tehran of acting as the informal base for the US’s FBI during the 2009 ‘Green Revolution’ in Iran and providing financial support to the regime’s enemies and protesters in an effort to thwart the reelection of Ahmadinejad.
The editorial also accused the new French and German ambassadors to Iran, Francois Sénémaud and Michael Freiherr von Ungern-Sternberg respectively, of being senior members of their countries’ intelligence services.
It concluded by asserting that Western countries took the decision to send ambassadors to Tehran during this sensitive period whilst Iran is in a state of acute political tensions leading to the ambassadors facing accusations of spying in order to embarrass the Iranian leadership and lead the Rouhani administration into international crises. The Western governments ultimately wish to prove Rouhani’s failure in foreign policy or on related important issues in order to topple him, the editorial asserted, suggesting that this was similar to the ousting of Mehdi Bazargan’s government in the period immediately following the 1979 revolution.

Resalat Newspaper
“Two-faced management and the argument of influence.”
An editorial by a prominent representative of Iran’s conservative political bloc in Wednesday’s Resalat newspaper launched an attack on the Rouhani administration’s policies, condemning the practices of senior management in public sector firms and state bodies, who the author accused of being more interested in promoting their own private sector businesses than in helping the state bodies. The editorial sarcastically accused these senior figures of being salesmen in the morning and customers for their own goods in the afternoon, asserting that these business practices had become a catastrophe for the Iranian economy, which it said is plagued with such corrupt officials.
Moreover, the editorial writer stated, these policies are a direct result of the Rouhani administration’s implementation of money-laundering and terror finance legislation which was initially introduced to prevent the Sepah Ban and Melli Bank from allowing the Khatam Alanbiya engineering group controlled by the regime’s Revolutionary Guards to open bank accounts there. The IRGC group is well known to be one of the largest business entities in Iran, with the profits from its projects going to support pro-regime militias in Iraq, Syria, Palestine, Bahrain, Yemen and dozens of war zones and hotbeds of armed conflict worldwide
The editorial stated that the senior officials’ corruption and preference for lining their own pockets and making a profit for their own businesses over benefiting the Iranian state is a means of burying justice and holding a funeral for their failure to establish divine justice.
This phenomenon is a wound in the heart of the Iranian judicial system’s integrity, the editorial continued, suggesting a connection between the Rouhani administration’s acceptance of money-laundering and terror finance legislation and an endorsement of foreign influence on Iran, and accusing the reformist movement of implementing a policy of i“foreign franchises” to encourage foreign influence similar to policies adopted in the 19th century. It warned that the “foreign franchises” policy previously led to Iran losing significant parts of its territory which it claimed were annexed by other nations due to Iranian concessions.
Ironically, this was the precise same accusation made against Iran’s conservatives by the country’s reformists when the conservatives supported allowing Russian fighter jets to use Iran’s Hamadan airbase for launching attacks in Syria. This issue reflects the state of disintegration in the regime’s structure despite its bullying and hostile practices regionally.

Sharq Newspaper
“Bio-Terrorism – fact or fiction?”
Sharq newspaper devoted Wednesday’s editorial to discussing the issue of ‘bioterrorism’, involving the intentional release or dissemination of biological agents.
The editorial stated that according to the latest reports, scientists are now capable of encoding resistance to various diseases among peoples across the entire genetic map of the human race. In doing so, it added, mankind is now scientifically capable of eradicating particular groups within the human race or making massive profits by selling vaccines for a disease already present in the population.
The editorialist talked about a recent U.S. conference on bioterrorism which he attended, saying that what he learnt raised concern about the use of these techniques by the superpowers against the peoples of the Middle East.
The author further claimed that one of the key features of bioterrorism, spreading various types of bacteria and viruses, had already been implemented in some cases in conflict zones.
The editorialist further warned against the tendency of Iranian media to promote a false idea that other nations are consumed by a manic hatred of Iran and to ratchet up public paranoia about global states targeting the Iranian people by creating crises leading to Wester nations’ economic isolation of Iran in order to justify Iranian regime policies. Such thinking, as well as armed hostility by the Iranian regime against neighboring countries, could lead to Iranians being targeted by genetically bred diseases aimed at eradicating the Persian people completely, the author warned, adding that this would Justify Iranian public opinion of the hostile policies practiced by the regime against its opponents domestically and in neighboring countries, who are routinely depicted as monsters who wish to gorge themselves on or devour Iran. Iran as a country subject to plots and attacks has the right to use every legal and illegal means to repel any attack, the author concluded, adding that this is why Iranian forces are located across the region, in order to repel any such potential attacks.

♦ Iran supports moves to stabilize oil markets

“Oil prices should be fair and stable,” President Rouhani said in a meeting with the new OPEC Secretary General. “Instability in oil prices not only hurts OPEC members but also breaks the ultimate goal of preserving the world environment,” he added.
