Ahead of US President Donald Trump\u2019s visit to Saudi Arabia, the International Institute for Iranian Studies (Rasanah) hosted  \u201cThe Future of Saudi-US Relations\u201d symposium on May 12, 2025. The event featured three key sessions and was inaugurated by H.E. Ambassador Ali Awadh Asseri, vice chairman of Rasanah\u2019s Board of Trustees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The opening session, \u201cSaudi-US Relations During the Trump Administration: Political and Diplomatic Dimensions,\u201d featured H.E. Dr. Khalid al-Jindan, former under secretary for bilateral relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Nawaf Alissa, director of speechwriting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. H.E. Dr. Ali Awadh Asseri moderated the session.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second session, \u201cSaudi-US Military and Political Cooperation: Realities and Aspirations,\u201d was delivered by Rasanah\u2019s Director of Studies and Research, retired Maj. Gen. Ahmed al-Maimoni, and moderated by Rasanah\u2019s Vice President, Dr. Ahmed al-Garni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The third session, \u201cThe Future of Saudi-US Coordination on Regional and International Issues,\u201d was presented by Dr. Mansour al-Marzouqi, director of the Center for Strategic Studies at the Prince Saud al-Faisal Institute, and moderated by retired Maj. Gen. Ahmed al-Maimoni.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
