It has recently revived after<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> signing a several-million-dollar agreement between Iran, India, and Afghanistan<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> to jointly develop transportation links to Afghanistan. India agreed to implement<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> the biggest part of this project and lay a railroad track from the port of Chabahar to\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Afghanistan to achieve major strategic and economic gains for both India and Iran.<\/strong><br \/>\n<strong> In essence, the port serves the interests of Iran.
