Since the fifties in the last century, the Arab national security<\/strong>
\n has been linked with the Arab-Israeli conflict after having been<\/strong>
\n previously linked with foreign occupation and colonization for<\/strong>
\n a long period of time. Although the Arab countries suffered severe<\/strong>
\n losses at the hands of colonists during the nineteenth and twentieth<\/strong>
\n centuries, the Israeli threat emerged in the mid-twentieth century and<\/strong>
\n constituted the most severe danger to the Arab national security from<\/strong>
\n several perspectives, especially with reference to the fragmentation<\/strong>
\n of the demographic and geographic extension of the Arab World.<\/strong><\/p>\n
