\nEbtekar editorial deals with aftermaths of recent presidential election for both fundamentalists and reformists in Iran, now that after two months, Hassan Rouhani will start his second term of the presidency from next week.
\nAfter May presidential election in Iran, the editorial holds, the two factions\u2019 rivalry over the election result has subsided, and now political disputes are more inside each faction. While fundamentalists who were defeated in the election are fighting and blaming each other, the reformists, too, are disputing over their shares of power in the new government.
\nAccording to Ebtekar editorial, some fundamentalist individuals and groups are openly criticizing each other, accusing the other for defeat in the election, while calling themselves genuine fundamentalists. Mir-Salim is openly attacking Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf for extensive violation and corruption by him and his friends in Tehran municipality. And recently Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, in an open letter to the young fundamentalists, heavily criticized the fundamentalists, saying that the only way is to surpass traditional fundamentalists, and move towards neo-fundamentalism.
\nThe reformists, the editorial says, are going through an internal war over their shares in the new cabinet and its arrangement. In the internal war of each faction, the editorial concludes, what is forgotten is the people who in \u201cbattlefield of democracy\u201d believed slogans and views of one of these factions and voted for them.

\nBahar Daily\u2019s editorial deals with problems that fundamentalists in Iran are facing these days. Somebody attacks fundamentalists and talks of neo-fundamentalists, the other talks of \u201cnumerous violations\u201d which he wanted to mention against his opponent in the second round of the election, and the third one and his followers are new comers who are busy promoting a pop singer to strengthen their fundamentalism!
\nAccording to the editorial, what is interesting is that each group claims that real fundamentalism is their interpretation of it. By carefully looking, one can see that senior fundamentalist figures are silently observing what is going on and prefer to get closer to moderate currents in the country, distancing themselves from the so-call fundamentalists these days.
\nThe editorial holds that today fundamentalists have two options: either bring back those silent observers to their previous positions, or a fundamentalism in which a pop singer is one of the experts is dead.
\nFundamentalists must admit, says the editorialist, that some of their measures have created questions and doubts among their supporters. \u201cToday, people can very well realize the difference between hypocrisy and reality.\u201d

\nShahrvand editorial deals with the result of regional disputes in the Middle East. The end of major strategic disputes in a region will be changes in the political geography, and if transcontinental forces meddle with these disputes, the changes will be more fundamental. The editorial gives the examples of disputes in Europe during the first and the second world wars, in which hegemony and expansionism of belligerent governments ended up in dividing these countries and their allies.
\nShahrvand editorial then focuses on the Middle East, which is witnessing a serious dispute, in which transcontinental forces are playing a role. The editorial asks if the strategic consequence of this dispute will end in changes in political geography in the countries of the region. The current dispute in the Middle East, unlike the world wars in the 20th century, is not the result of expansionism of any countries in the region. And at the end of the conflicts in the Middle East, none of the regional countries will be called as expansionist or beginner of war, because the current dispute is the result of creating an extremist mechanism and shaping terrorist groups on the other side of the Atlantic Ocean.
\nThe editorialist does not believe that by the end of these disputes in the region, there will be any changes in political geography in the Middle East, because the destruction of ISIS and other terrorist groups will not create any security vacuum, requiring changes in the political arrangement of the region. But with the end of the terrorist crisis in the Middle East, the necessity of changes in political geography in West Bank of Jordan River through peaceful, diplomatic ways will draw the attention of the world.
\nAn Editorial in ‘Shahrvand’ Daily on Monday, Jul. 24th, 2017<\/span><\/p>\n

\nThis editorial deals with the significance of recent military cooperation between Russia and China in Baltic Sea and its relation to NATO. The writer says NATO\u2019s confrontation with Russia is nothing but a legacy of cold war, while its confrontation with China is both strange and new. This was what the West did not expect for at least a few decades, yet it has already kicked off by the Russian-Chinese Naval Interaction-2017, a joint naval drill in Baltic Sea.
\nThe writer says Russia has competed with the West since the cold war over economic, trade and geopolitical interests in Baltic. Given the oil and gas sources in this region, the competition has become even more serious. But China has no such interests in Baltic. Its goals become clear in the next joint drill with Russia in mid-September in Japan Sea.
\nThe editorial concludes that in the current maneuver, Russia, accompanied by Chinese forces, shows NATO that it is not alone in its confrontation. And in September maneuver, China will show Japan, Taiwan, and the U.S. that it can have Russia at its side in any sea conflict. For China, the current maneuver is not just a strategic cooperation with Russia but aims at having a presence in the international arena to prove its military capabilities to its western rivals.

\nU.S. defense officials said that an American warship has fired warning shots towards an IRGC boat. According to these officials, USS Thunderbolt fired these shots when a fast boat ignored the warship\u2019s efforts to have radio call with it. According to this report, IRGC boat came within 140 meters of the warship, and the Iranians did not respond to any warnings from the U.S. ship, including the radio calls, firing of flares, and blasts from the U.S. warship\u2019s whistle.
\nA few hours later, IRGC issued a statement with different story. The statement claimed that it \u201cprevented the U.S. warship\u2019s provocative move against an Iranian Navy patrol boat.\u201d The statement also said that the U.S. warship aimed at instigating and frightening the Iranian boat by firing two shots.

\nShahreza MP Somayeh Mahmoudi said when a permit is issued for a factory or a manufacturing unit, the jobs created by it will be stipulated in the permit, and will later be announced as employment statistics by officials. Meanwhile, many of these manufacturing units will be never created.
\nIn a meeting to investigate issues and problems of Shahreza, Somayeh Mahmoudi urged that permit for establishing big stores must be issued in coordination with city managers, because the current procedure is not to the benefit of different regions. \nPublic and revolutionary prosecutor of Kerman province Dadkhoda Salari announced arrest of 4 suspects in relation to the case of poisoning with alcoholic beverages. Salari added that so far 156 people have been hospitalized, 70 people are going through dialysis.
\nKerman prosecutor said 3 people are in critical conditions, and 5 people have lost their lives due to poisoning. He added that a truck driver had prepared two 20 liter-gallons of homemade alcoholic beverages in Isfahan and had distributed it in Sirjan.

\nRussian media announced the agreement between Iran and Russia for purchasing 12 Sukhoi jets. They might sign another contract for buying 30 more aircrafts in future. Previously a Russian official had said selling these aircrafts to Iran required the agreement of American producers of the aircraft\u2019s parts.
\nRussian Energy Minister Alexander Novak had previously announced Iran\u2019s plan for purchasing 12 passenger Sukhoi jets, stressing that Moscow is willing to launch a production line for parts and equipments of Russian aircrafts in Iran.

Abulfazl Kiyani, deputy of planning in IDRO announced signing a contract with Russian Helicopters Co. for producing civilian helicopters, adding that IDRO intends to cooperate with the Russian company in producing helicopters.
