Monday, October 23, 2023: Founder and President of the International Institute for Iranian Studies (Rasanah) Dr. Mohammed Alsulami and Advisory Board members received a delegation from the Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) at the institute’s headquarters.
The guests were welcomed by Dr. Alsulami, Rasanah Vice President Dr. Ahmed al-Garni and Advisory Board members, including Osama al-Sanoussi, Mohammed al-Kelabi and Director of Center for Studies and Research Maj. Gen. (retired) Ahmed al-Maimouni.
The visiting delegation included Research Professor and Director of the PRIO Middle East Centre Dr. Kristian Berg Harpviken and Research Associate Dr. Rev. Trond Bakkevig.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss subjects of mutual interest and sign an MoU to strengthen cooperation and share expertise.
The Peace Research Institute Oslo (PRIO) is a well-established think tank which was founded in 1959 in Norway. It conducts research on the conditions for peaceful relations between states, groups and people. It includes a number of departments – Administration, Director’s Office, Communication, Conflict Patterns and Environments, Dimensions of Security, Global Politics, Norms and Society, Journal’s Editorial Office, Peace and Conflict Dynamics, PRIO Cyprus Center and Societies, Mobility and Change.
