President of Rasanah Meets With a Host of Uzbekistan’s Diplomats and Academics

During his visit to Central Asia,  Founder and President of the International Institute for Iranian Studies (Rasanah) Dr. Mohammed Alsulami met with a host of diplomats and academics in Uzbekistan where they exchanged views on many issues.

He visited Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies (TSUOS) where he met Vice-Rector for Youth Affairs and Spiritual Enlightenment K. Sh. Omonov. The meeting was attended by the Rector’s Adviser A. K. Shukurov, the head of  the Department of International Cooperation Muhsinov Avazmuhammad Nosirovich, the chairperson of the Department of Arabic Philology Shomusarov Shorustam Giyosovich. They discussed ways to enhance cooperation between TSUOS and Rasanah and concluded a memorandum of understanding.

Dr. Alsulami subsequently met with the Director of the Center for Research and Analysis of the Eastern Countries’ Development Dr. Khakberdiev Kakhramon.

Dr. Alsulami also met with First Vice Rector for Academic Affairs at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy (UWED) and the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Germany, Switzerland, the Czech Republic and Spain Durbek Amanov. They discussed ways to expand cooperation and facilitate research collaboration.

 Dr. Alsulami also met with the administration board of  the Institute for Strategic and Regional Studies under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan represented (ISRS) by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Alisher Kadirov and a host of researchers. They exchanged views on ways to bolster mutual  cooperation and development.

He concluded his visit to Uzbekistan with a meeting with a host of officials from the Foreign Ministry, exchanging views on regional and international developments and providing an overview of Rasanah’s research activities and training as well as discussing ways to boost cooperation.
