During his visit to Central Asia and the Caucasus, Founder and President of the International Institute for Iranian Studies (Rasanah) Dr. Mohammed Alsulami visited Azerbaijan’s capital Baku where he held meetings at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, two think tanks, and a cultural center.
He commenced his tour with an introductory visit, accompanied Rasanah Corporate Communications Manager Hanan al-Olayani, to the Center of Analysis of International Relations (AIR) where he met with AIR Chairman Farid Shafiyev, AIR Administrative Manager Javid Valeyi as well as Masiagha Mahammadi and Lala Khalilzadeh. They discussed regional and international issues and an MoU between AIR and Rasanah was signed.
Dr. Alsulami visited Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC), one of the most significant cultural centers in Azerbaijan, where he met with NGIC Secretary-General Rovshan Muradov, discussing possible ways of enhancing cooperation and mutual relations between the two institutes.
He also visited the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Baku and met with the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Aykhan Hajizada and discussed Saudi-Azerbaijan relations and regional developments. Lastly, Dr. Alsulami visited the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) where he met with Acting Vice-President of ANAS and General Director Institute of Oriental Studies (named after academician Z.M. Bunyatov) Prof. Govhar Bakhshali Bakhshaliyeva and discussed possible ways to expand cooperation.
