It became clear that the security of the entire world now would be decided in the Arab Gulf region, which makes the circumstances of Obama’s visit to Saudi Arabia, seems like the eve of the Fourth World Gulf War.
We can follow Obama’s visit to Riyadh only through display inherent and parallel contexts of the visit., and take the development of Saudi-American relations during the past decades, and review the compatibility and incompatibility points in each context including the situation in Syria, Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon, Palestine and Libya. In addition to all hot and destructive issues related to those Arab countries and societies.
President Obama’s visit to Riyadh comes in multiple contexts:
Firstly, the Arab Coalition stability for Yemen forms militarily and politically the premier Arab success story toward convergence, integration and cooperation during the conflict and fighting era.
Secondly, Obama’s visit comes as a reaction to maneuvers of the North Thunder military took place in Hafr Al-Batin on the Iraqi-Saudi borders. The visit may also due to the wise strategy of the coalition’s including its objectives and formation.
Thirdly, the announcement of the Islamic coalition to fight terrorism combined of 39 countries. The visit comes after the Egyptian-Saudi strategic summit. The summit encompassed mechanism, agreements and dimensions. This visit also came after four days Islamic summit held in Istanbul and the regeneration of the priority of establishing a Palestinian state taking Jerusalem a capital. The summit convenes to an international peace conference which initiated by Paris at a ministerial level on 30 of May.
Obama’s visit comes in conjunction with the Gulf-Morocco summit. Morocco is a member of the Arab military coalition established for salvation of Yemen and is a part of the Islamic coalition to fight terrorism. Morocco is facing challenges of territorial integrity following internationally raised claims over the Moroccan Sahara. This synchronization represents a clear message against the consolidation of Morocco with Arab states against territory and Arab security.
Obama has personal merits of course. He left a mark on the reality of the Arab-American relations, which had a negative impact on the Arab-American coalition. However, this tactic will not make change much in America’s supreme strategic interests. Interests such as these one form a strategy that no American president dare to change. . These interests are determined by a” profit and loss” approach serving the safety of the US economy. America’s economy is based on America’s leadership of the world first militarily, and Second economically.
It is necessary to follow this visit through the transformations taking place in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf Cooperation Council, particularly after Decisive Storm Operation and go further in confrontation with Iran at all levels, and across the Arab homeland.
This means that President Obama knows very well that he is visiting kings, princes, states and communities in a comprehensive confrontation status targeting its security, unity, culture, history and stability.
US administration anticipated the visit with the declaration of US Secretary of Defense Weeks ago. The secretary declared that understanding with the Crown Prince and Saudi Minister of Defense on the signing of a strategic military sophisticated and effective agreement with the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) military and this is what happened before the arrival of Obama hours ago.
A question remains here: What was president Obama’s answer regarding America’s policy in the region during his presidency, in particular, the US-Iranian relationship as well as the implications of the stability the region. Many of the Arab people considers America as a partner of Iran considering in all what happened.

During the first Gulf War, “Iran’s Gate” and the policy of American dual containment has been revealed, where the US military supported Saddam while US intelligence worked with Iran. The second Gulf War, US Ambassador April Glaspie did not object Saddam intentions about the invasion of Kuwait, which led to the war of Desert Storm and liberation of Kuwait. The third Gulf war and the occupation of Iraq and dismantling the state according to false reports about the existence of weapons of mass destruction. Obama’s era and the agreement of Arbil, which gave Iran each of Iraq, Syria and Lebanon, to cover the US military withdrawal from Iraq.
Obama knows very well that the international coalition “ISIS” featuring 64 countries which fought Iraq. Most of military presence in the region and was led by America. In addition to the Islamic military coalition of 39 countries. Arab military presence in Yemen, which means that nearly one hundred countries mobilize armies in the Gulf region and around the current US Gulf summit.
Obama also knows about the Iranian and Russian military preparations in Syria, which desires to convert conflicts into major field of wars field but with full consideration of Israel.
There are not many options in front of President Obama or the next president to do something forth this situation. America at the heart of this great conflict that threatens its prestige before interests. It became obvious that the whole security of the world now will be decided in the Arab Gulf. Which make the circumstances of Obama’s visit to Saudi Arabia seems like the eve of the Fourth World Gulf War. All what is happening now is the result of the first, second and third Gulf War and the withdrawal of the United States in the interest of Iran.
His Royal Majesty the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, bid farewell his guest to sponsor the international conference organized in 23-04-2016 by King Faisal Center for Islamic and Arabic Studies.
“Saud Al-awtan” involves a large crowd of presidents, ministers, intellectuals and journalists, as well as Arab, Islamic and international personalities, which will be an honor for me to attend as well.
I have in mind now what Prince Saud al-Faisal “God’s mercy be upon him” said in his last speech before the Shura Council, ”We are not warmongers, but if it knocked its drums, then we are ready for it”.
