President of Unrepresented Peoples and Minorities in UN Organization, the spokesperson for the Baloch people party, Nasser Boleda Ei said that they agree for Baluchistan to separate from Iran and achieve its independence. Although the main case, at least for them as Baloch people party, not only the independence of Baluchistan from Iran but also the rights of Baloch people, who live recently poor conditions in Iran.
“Points of view in America varies about Baluchistan, there are many people who defend Baluchistan independence as an American interest, and we have relationships with a large segment of American politicians that can help us find solutions for social, cultural and political issues in Iran. As well as, minority rights issues, and we are negotiating with these parties continuously, and seek to inform the American people and officials about the Baloch people situation in Iran and show our point of view for them.” Boleda said in his statement to Voice of America on Saturday.
Boleda pointed that “Baluchistan province situation was so bad before the advent of armed movements that calling for Baluchistan independence, poverty and deliberate social backwardness exercised by the regime right now under the guise of armed groups activities such as Jundullah, which called now “Jaish al-Adel”. He also added, “These groups have limited activism in Baluchistan province, and its activity would not be an impediment in front of economic investment in the province. The regime does not face a problem regarding investments; it has established Chabahar economic free zone, which the regime benefited personally, and did not come out of the region, also did not reach the people of Baluchistan. Investment in Chabahar free zone was not for the Baloch people but for the benefit of regime officials and their supporters.”
It is noteworthy that the current Iranian regime’s policy is to maintain Baluchistan province backward in all fields, as a continuation of Shah’s policies, which considered the Baluch people have a tendency of independence. That what Abasali Khalatbari,the Foreign Minister of the Shah, said at the time for the American press,” Baluch have a tendency of independence, so they must be economically backward and politically weak.” Today, the Iranian regime doubled this policy, under the pretext of repulsive elements against economic investment such as armed groups.
